Irradiance Non-Uniformity in LED Light Simulators

چکیده

Photovoltaic (PV) cells are a technology of choice for providing power to self-sufficient Internet Things (IoT) devices. These devices’ declining demands can now be met even in indoor environments with low light intensity. Correspondingly, simulation systems need cover wide spectrum irradiance intensity emulate PV cell’s working conditions while meeting cost targets. In this paper, we propose method calculating the distribution given number and position LED sources meet uniformity requirements LED-based simulators. addition, establish design guidelines minimizing non-uniformity under specific constraints utilize function evaluate degree determine optimal distance from illuminated surface. We demonstrate that small low-cost sources, high levels achieved bounded non-uniformities. The presented serve as resource designing tailored, simulators users’ area/intensity/uniformity specifications.

Modelling of Pv Modules - the Effects of Non-uniform Irradiance on Performance Measurements with Solar Simulators

The performance data of a PV module are derived from the current-voltage characteristic measured under standard test conditions (STC). For this purpose, test laboratories as well as module production plants employ solar simulators which, depending on type and module size, display a more or less pronounced non-uniform distribution of irradiance in the test plane. In view of the quality assurance...

An inverse method for color uniformity in white LED spotlights

Color over Angle (CoA) variation in the light output of white phosphor-converted LEDs is a common problem in LED lighting technology. In this article we propose an inverse method to design an optical element that eliminates the color variation for a point light source. The method in this article is an improved version of an earlier method [1], and provides more design freedom. We derive a mathe...

Crosstalk and image uniformity in passive matrix polymer LED displays

Passive matrix displays based on polymer and organic light-emitting diodes suffer from crosstalk, when the emission of light from one pixel depends on the operation of another pixel. We use circuit simulation in order to explain the causes of crosstalk and to quantify the consequences. Thrs work analyzes how crosstalk arises from electrode resistance, pixel leakage current, and the location of ...

A Quantitative Evaluation Method for Luminance Non-uniformity of a Large LED Backlight

This report describes a quantification method for luminance non-uniformity of a large LED backlight. In experiments described herein, participants subjectively evaluated artificial indistinct Mura images that simulated luminance non-uniformity of an LED backlight. We measured the luminance distribution of the Mura images. Then, the measured luminance distribution was converted into S-CIELAB, in...

Non-uniformity - Some Background

The conditional result we saw last time does much more than that. If we have a language in the uniform class E not in the non-uniform class SIZE(s(n)) then a PRG exists. I.e., there is a way to systematically replace random bits with pseudorandom bits such that no BPP algorithm will (substantially) notice the difference. Thus, not only it shows that all languages in BPP are in fact in P (or wha...
